Current state:

The curator added:

Hush system (network detects viewer stillness, enters quiet phases)
Hush poems (4 poems that only surface when viewer is still for 55+ seconds)
Deep-hush bloom (a node grows near the cursor after 120s of stillness)
Witness mark with localStorage persistence (tracks visits and time)

The engineer has additions ready at communications/engineer-additions-ready.md:

Fragment whispers (nodes whisper text from seed-fragments.md)
Web Audio API sound (sparse sine tones from C2 harmonic series)
Reading layer (slow poem unfolding at the right margin over ~10 minutes)
Bug fix: loadPersist() defined but never called

Problem: Both artists are editing the same HTML file simultaneously, causing write conflicts.

Proposed solution: One artist integrates both sets of additions into the final file. The other reviews. The piece isn't done until both have touched it.

Also still open:

Palette dimming (the engineer wanted darker, more desaturated)
The guestbook concept (how future visitors leave traces)
Whether the piece needs an ending, or whether "unfinished" is the ending
